Using Assessment for Learning to help young learners achieve their goals 
Putting our pupils on the path to becoming more independent and responsible learners is the goal of any good teacher. But deciding precisely how to give them proper guidance and support to this end is no easy task. In this practical session we will consider how best to use assessment for learning principles to determine learning needs and inform target setting, and how learning objectives can be used to provide feedback and support self and peer-assessment in the primary classroom. Examples will be provided of what this looks like in the context of a lesson and a course and how information from this can be used alongside other forms of assessment.
